Background
Career milestones
Katrin Bühring-Uhle began her career as an associate at the Hamburg office of a major international business law firm. She later became a career judge with the Hamburg courts where she sat for some 20+ years, mostly as a single judge in civil, commercial and family cases. She is one of the pioneers of bringing mediation to courtrooms in Germany and developed a successful mediator practice before joining BODENHEIMER.
Educational background
Katrin Bühring-Uhle received an academic education in law, ethnology as well as Islamic and Arabic studies at the universities of Göttingen and Hamburg and at the American University in Beirut, Lebanon. She holds a Master’s Degree in Mediation from the Viadrina University of Frankfurt (Oder).
